Dear ACA Community,
Next week, May 5 through May 9th, is a very important week at ACA…Staff Appreciation Week! Do you love your ES and all they do to support you? Is there a teacher, or several, that make learning engaging? This is the week to find a moment to let them know how much they are appreciated. We truly have the best staff!
We’ve welcomed back our Outdoor Science Camp participants and I’m happy to report that they had an amazing experience! The weather was great, the food was yummy, and the activities were enjoyable. Mrs. Hall spent many, many weeks planning and shopping for the trip. Thanks to her, the staff chaperones, and the volunteers who traveled with the campers. Memories were made!
Many thanks to all of the adults who supported students during state testing sessions this year. It was a lot to ask that students were delivered to school and picked up on non-class days. State test participation is very important to our school’s existence and everyone’s help has been very much appreciated!
We are proud to announce that 9th grade student Emma Slaughter won a $1,000 continuing scholarship to the Pacific Northwest College of Art for the piece that she entered in the CESD regional art show. Well done, Emma!

Great news for ACA…we are getting a First Lego League Challenge team (grades 5-7). The team will meet from 10:00am to noon on Fridays starting August 22 through January 16th. Most of the fees can be covered by ACA allotment if you let your ES know you have joined the team. Here is the LINK to get on the list. Thank you to parent Nicole Anderson for organizing this exciting new venture!
If you purchased wristbands for the Zoo field trip on May 9th, please stop in the office this week to pick them up by 5:00pm Thursday, and have fun at the Zoo!
As you can see from the list of events below, ACA is going to be very busy through the end of the year! We are diligently seeking volunteers to help with some of our upcoming activities. Our Spring Music Concerts are wonderful and many parents come together to put on these wonderful shows. Here is the sign up link to help out: LINK
And we’ll be celebrating ACA’s Class of 2025 with a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, June 6 and a meaningful graduation ceremony on June 7. Please consider lending a hand as we send our graduates off in style! Here is the LINK to help out with graduation. Thank you!

Gentle Rule Reminder: Only praise for our students during test sessions. They were so respectful and patient through a process that is not exactly fun!

Greetings ACA Families & Friends,
We can't believe we are entering the last month of school! We are excited to share what we have planned this month.
5/5-5/8 Staff Appreciation
Help us celebrate the best staff in the world! Here is our Signup. Thank you for your help!
Pizza Pre-Orders
You can order on our online form or any time at the PTO desk. There are three more pizza Thursdays left!
5/27- 5/29 Bake Sale at the PTO Food Corner
We are on a mission to get our school a brand new welcome mat. We are combining three fundraisers to make it happen: The Spring Bottle Drive (you are awesome and we raised about $306!), a bake sale and Mike's Drive-In dine out night.
We will be holding a bake sale the last week of school in the PTO food corner. We will be asking for individually wrapped baked goods to sell that week. We will send out more details as the date gets closer.
5/28 4-8pm PTO Fundraiser @ Mike's Drive-In
25% of proceeds go to PTO, which we will use for a new welcome mat!
Friendly Reminder:
Please use your PTO Coffee/Food corner tabs by the last day of school, Thursday, May 29th as we are not able to issue refunds.
Thank you for all the ways you support us and ACA- whether it’s donating to our BottleDrop account, Fred Meyer Rewards, volunteering at the food corner or on pizza Thursdays, ACA has such a wonderful community!
Remember to check the calendar on our website often, AllianceCharterAcademy.org and don’t forget to log your Volunteer hours here Volunteer Time Log.
