Dear ACA Community,
Yesterday was one of the highlight days of the ACA school year…Trunk or Treat combined with Spooky Science and Mad Math! Many thanks and appreciation to ACA’s stellar Science Department of Ms. Edinger, Ms. Kelm, Ms. Pen, Mr. Holland, and Ms. Castellano, and our beloved Math Specialist Mr. Toth, for putting on such a fun and educational community event! And thanks to our World’s Greatest PTO and all of their many helpers, volunteers, and Trunk hosts for turning our parking lot into an enchanted land of joy! It was a memorable afternoon!
But the fun keeps on coming! Who’s looking forward to School Spirit Week? I can’t wait to see your ACA creativity on display! Here’s a reminder of the themes for each day:
Monday, October 28 - Pajama Day
Tuesday, October 29 - Crazy Hair and Hat Day
Wednesday, October 30 - Dress Like a Student/Dress Like Staff Day
Thursday, October 31 - Costume Day (no full masks or scary/gory costumes)
And if that’s not enough, students grades 6-12 are all invited to our Harvest Dance on Friday, November 4th, in the Gym. The dance starts at 6:00 and ends at 8:30. Tickets are available next week in the office for $5, or $8 at the dance (cash or check only). Admission includes a Haunted House experience!
Last week I told you about the Sinfonietta and Concert Orchestras playing at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Saturday night. So exciting! This week our District Superintendent, Dr. Spitzer, invited our Symphony to play at the televised District Board Meeting on November 4th. This is going to be a wonderful opportunity to showcase our top shelf musicians. Thank you, Mr. Edson and Symphony students, for representing ACA!
A reminder that there is still time to claim a space at ACA’s Annual Bazaar! Scroll down the list of events and click the link to register. Students are getting excited and getting busy making cool things to sell! It’s a really fun and festive weekend and I highly recommend getting involved!
Reminder about Pizza Thursdays- Please make sure to Pre-Order no later than the Tuesday before.
Gentle Rule Reminder: Every student enrolled in Study Hall must bring something to work on. This is not a time and place for socializing. Students who are distracting others may be unenrolled from Study Hall.
Remember to check the calendar on our website often! AllianceCharterAcademy.org
Thank you for being part of the ACA family, and have a wonderful weekend!
