It’s that time of year again, when families are looking at options for enrolling their students in schools of choice. ACA is a homeschool hybrid program. We have a part-time on-site class component that offers unique learning opportunities in a warm, supportive community.
We require that anyone interested in joining Alliance Charter Academy for the upcoming school year attend an ‘Informational Meeting’. At the informational meeting, you will learn about our program and get your questions answered so you can decide if ACA is the right fit for your student and family. We welcome you to contact ShannonMeade@aca.k12.or.us for more information.
The Class of 2024 is starting to make plans for their Commencement on June 8th. Thank you Meredith Gerstner and Katie McNeil, the Senior Class advisors! If you are a senior, or the parent of a senior, make sure that you are in touch with them. Planning has already begun!
The Alliance Charter Academy Board met in a Work Session on Wednesday evening. Since it was the first in-person Board Meeting in a long time, the community had an opportunity to show the Board Members that we appreciate all of their continuing hard work. Thank you to the PTO for the gifts, to the Ortman family for providing an amazing dinner, and Jana Holland for the delicious cookies!
Pizza Thursdays are a hit! Don’t forget to pre-order your pizza slices using this link:
Our Woodworking classes are in need of lumber donations. Mr. Toth is an inspiring teacher and his classes are very popular! Do you have any wood that you could donate for student projects? Please see the information below on what Mr. Toth is looking for, and thank you!
Asking here first…would anyone be willing to donate a flag to ACA or do you know of an organization that donates flags? Our flag was retired a couple years ago and it’s time for a replacement. It will be wonderful to see a flag flying at our building again!
Families, remember to log your volunteer hours in the cafeteria log book. Having a record of our community involvement helps us in applying for grants. ACA is a school that welcomes families into our building and if you are available to take on little projects while you are here, it will be appreciated!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Go Eagles,
Shelly Smith
Interim Executive Director
